Our combined efforts will undoubtedly influence positive change and showcase the power of unity in addressing global challenges.”

Founded in 2020, under the Saudi Arabian Presidency, the V20 first focused on the “Value of Values”. In 2021, under the Italian Presidency, its work shifted to an even deeper focus on the application of values with the theme “Values in Action”. In 2022, under the Indonesian Presidency, the V20’s orienting theme was “Values at the Centre”.

As Brazil assumes the presidency of the G20 for the first time since 2008, the V20 goals and task forces align with the Lula administration’s motto, “Building a Just World and a Sustainable Planet.” Brazil’s agenda for the G20 focuses on key issues such as the fight against hunger, poverty, and inequality, sustainable development in its economic, social, and environmental dimensions, and reform of the global governance system.

As the V20 initiative transitions to Brazil, it solidifies its commitment to promoting values-driven policymaking, unity, and environmental consciousness on the global stage. The forthcoming collaboration between V20 Brazil and the G20 presidency underscores a shared vision of building a just and sustainable world for future generations.
